Education Fellowship

NewYork-Presbyterian Queens is excited to offer an academic fellowship in medical education. We are a proud affiliate of Weill Cornell Medical College and host a PGY1-3 Emergency Medicine Residency Program with nine residents per year.

This fellowship is a one to two year guided-mentorship program designed to provide the most current and advanced skills with a focus on curriculum development, evaluation techniques and adult learning theory.

We aim to provide an innovative exploration of medical education with an emphasis on individualized interests and passions through an intentionally flexible curriculum. Content focuses on undergraduate and graduate medical education with additional opportunities in residency administration and leadership, continuing medical education, faculty development and multidisciplinary team education.

We encourage and advocate for our education fellows to become champions in the field of academic emergency medicine.

Basics

Fellowship Type: Non-ACGME Accredited, Emergency Medicine Fellowship

Length of Training: One Year (Two Years if Pursuing Masters in Education) — Two Years Preferred

Clinical: Emergency Medicine Department at New York-Presbyterian Queens

Compensation: 18 hours/week, 140K with Benefits and CME

Requirement: Completion or expected completion of an AOA/ACGME accredited Emergency Medicine Residency
