The Division of Dental and Oral Medicine provides comprehensive dental care to all ages of patients from infants to adults. The Division offers checkups and cleanings; periodontics, orthodontics, prosthodontics, cosmetic procedures, implantology, oral and maxillofacial surgery; and oral and maxillofacial pathology. Care is provided in our nine–unit clinic on Horace Harding Expressway in Fresh Meadows.
The Emergency Department offers a two-room dental suite within the hospital’s Urgent Care area, which provides 24 hours access to pain relief and palliative care. This includes prescriptions for pain medication if needed, local anesthesia, incision and drainage of abscesses as well as management and treatment of oral-facial trauma.
Also, the Division is affiliated with one of the country’s largest oral pathology laboratories, Oral Pathology Laboratory, Inc. They receive and process more than 13,000 specimens each year from all over the world.
