About The Outlook at Westchester

The Outlook at Westchester is a highly structured inpatient program designed to assist individuals with eating disorders work toward recovery. We provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and developmentally appropriate programming for male and female adolescents and adults, including individual and group psychotherapy, family therapy, accredited schooling, and therapeutic recreational activities.

The Outlook at Westchester has expertise in treating specialty populations, including:

  • Children and adolescents: Our team includes child psychiatrists with specialized training and experience in the treatment of children and adolescents with eating disorders. The unit features a separate living area for teens.
  • Boys and men: We have a particular sensitivity to the needs of boys and men with eating disorders and extensive expertise in treating them.
  • Patients with co-occurring illnesses: We care for individuals whose eating disorders are accompanied by other illnesses, such as anxiety and depression.

We offer state-of-the-art treatment for patients using a behaviorally focused program, centering on the restoration of weight and the treatment of related psychological symptoms. To ensure continuity of care, we communicate closely with appropriate family members, referring professionals, and service providers.
