Wilhelmina Manzano Named Chief Nursing Officer of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Healthcare System

NEW YORK

An experienced nurse leader who promotes clinical excellence in nursing, Wilhelmina M. Manzano, M.A., R.N., has been named senior vice president and chief nursing officer (CNO) at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare System.

In her new role, Ms. Manzano will implement strategies that promote innovation and excellence in nursing throughout the Hospital and the 53-facility Healthcare System.

"Willie has consistently and repeatedly demonstrated an aptitude for operational excellence, recruiting and retaining talent, and managing successfully in a tight financial environment. She is decisive, outcomes-driven, and team-oriented. I heartily welcome Willie to her new position."

Previously, Ms. Manzano was the Chief Nursing Officer at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Vice President for Patient Care Services at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia. Prior to joining the Hospital, Ms. Manzano held various leadership positions at several New York-area hospitals, including The Mount Sinai Medical Center and Beth Israel Medical Center.

She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and a Master of Arts, Nursing Administration, from New York University. She also attended the Johnson & Johnson Wharton Fellows Program for Nurse Executives and was just elected Fellow at The New York Academy of Medicine.
