NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital’s advertising campaigns for its new Comprehensive Cancer Center, Harvest for Health programs and 125th Anniversary have captured awards in two major advertising competitions.

The award winners were announced this week in the 31st Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards competition and the Advertising Club of Westchester’s 2014 "Big W Awards." Materials were developed by the Hospital’s Marketing team, including ad agency Jody and Diane Creative Communications.

NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital captured two Gold awards and a Merit Award in the Health Care Advertising Awards. Gold and Merit awards went to the Hospital’s new "Our World is Cancer" brochures, promoting the new Cheryl R. Lindenbaum Cancer Center and another gold award went to marketing and public relations materials for its Harvest for Health program. Harvest for Health is a multi-faceted program including the Chef Peter X. Kelly Teaching Kitchen, an organic garden, twice monthly Farmers’ Markets and a new food service that incorporates local produce.

This year the Healthcare Advertising Awards received over 3,700 entries, making the awards the largest healthcare advertising awards competition and one of the ten largest of all advertising awards. A national panel of judges reviewed all entries based on creativity, quality, message effectiveness, consumer appeal, graphic design and overall impact. HVHC received two of the 290 gold awards distributed nationwide.

HVHC also won seven awards in the 2014 Advertising Club of Westchester’s "Big W Awards." Awards were received for the design of materials for the new Cheryl R. Lindenbaum Cancer Center and the Hospital’s 125th Anniversary Celebration, as well as, its Harvest for Health program. The award category – Gold, Silver, Bronze – will be announced at the club’s awards dinner on June 4 at Tappan Hill in Tarrytown, NY.

The Big "W" Awards competition is open to advertising, marketing, and PR agencies, designers, photographers, and students who create advertising in and/or for businesses and organizations in the Tri-State (New Jersey, New York and Connecticut) region.
