NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital has been recognized as one of the "150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare | 2019” by Becker’s Healthcare, which highlights hospitals, health systems and healthcare companies that promote diversity within the workforce, employee engagement, and professional growth.

Becker’s Healthcare highlighted NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital’s core belief that every person and every role counts. It recognized the Hospital’s "Dialogues in Diversity" seminars, which aim to raise awareness and encourage respect among all employees, and that the Human Rights Campaign has named NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital an LGBTQ Healthcare Equality Leader. It noted that the Hospital invests more than $8 million annually in employee education, and supports employees' physical and emotional health by offering health coaches on-site, free yoga classes and other programs.

“We are honored to be recognized as one of the top places to work in healthcare,” said Dr. Steven J. Corwin, president and CEO of NewYork-Presbyterian. “Our exceptional employees work hard every day to provide the very best care to our patients. We are committed to creating an environment where every employee is treated with respect and recognized for their contributions.”

The announcement follows other recent honors the Hospital has received, including being named one of the “Best Places to Work in 2019” by Glassdoor, one of “America’s Best Employers” by Forbes magazine in 2018, and one of the nation’s top-rated hospital workplaces in 2018 by Indeed.

Becker's Healthcare developed its list based on nominations and editorial research. All of the organizations honored provide benefits and opportunities for employees to build successful careers above and beyond the average health care provider or company.
