The benefit is available to all parents – women and men, including same-sex couples, whether for birth, adoption, or surrogacy. Additional benefits including backup childcare and adult/elder care were also introduced in 2017 so that employees can care for their families. NewYork-Presbyterian provides lactation rooms to support mothers returning to work. In addition, NewYork-Presbyterian has a strong track record of hiring and promoting women to leadership positions.
The Working Mother 100 Best Companies list this year celebrated companies that lead in the areas of inclusive benefits for families, such as gender-neutral parental leave, and accessible, affordable childcare.
