On November 21, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the launch of NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital’s Cancer Center. The Cancer Center, a collaboration between Columbia University Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence, provides a full range of personalized cancer services based on the latest medical research in a convenient Westchester location.

During the ribbon cutting event, NewYork-Presbyterian leaders gathered together to celebrate the Center’s launch and the improved access for patients in the region.

Staffed by leading specialists from ColumbiaDoctors and the NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group, the Cancer Center is committed to treating the whole person, not just the disease. The Cancer Center team believes in a multidisciplinary approach that is based on the latest advances and tailored to the characteristics of the individual cancer. Every aspect of a patient’s care is coordinated by a team of experts—many are also members of the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center at NewYork-Presbyterian Columbia University Medical Center – one of only three National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in New York State.

NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital is committed to delivering the best possible care for patients through a wide range of cancer prevention, screening, treatment, support and education programs. To learn more, visit nyp.org/lawrencecancer.
