Aarya weighs seven pounds, ten ounces and is 20.75 inches in length. Her parents, Praveen Datar and Vandekode Kulkarni, live in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, New York. Aarya is the couple’s second child and is a little sister to 17-month-old Aadhya.

“We are so thrilled to welcome Aarya into the world,” said Ms. Kulkarni, tired but elated. “We feel very special to have one of the first babies of the New Year. It is really exciting."
