Halloween Baby Born at HVHC
Nov 1, 2010
Cortlandt Manor, NY
You've heard of the first New Year's Baby. Meet the first Halloween Baby. That's really a misnomer because although Oct. 31 is Halloween it's also the birthday of celebrated Girl Scouts Founder Juliette Gordon Low who was born in 1860. This is the second year, that Girl Scouts have presented the first baby girl born on Oct. 31 at Hudson Valley Hospital with a special basket of goodies including a tiny Girl Scout uniform in honor of GS Founder Low.
This year West Lakeland Girl Scout Troop 2478 from Lincoln Titus School in Cortlandt presented Melissa Carbone of Cortlandt the basket. The gifts were for Annabelle, who was born at 6:58 p.m. on Sunday, October 31 weighing in at 6 lbs 10oz and measuring 20 inches. Also on hand were four-year-old brother, Ian, and dad, Ray Moser.
