Dr. Anne Moore, New York Weill Cornell Physician, Receives Award from Lawyers' Breast Cancer Group

Dr. Anne Moore, a New York Weill Cornell oncologist and authority on breast cancer, will receive the Special Recognition Award from Judges and Lawyers Breast Cancer Alert (JALBCA) on Monday, May 7, at the group's annual dinner at Water's Edge in Long Island City. JALBCA was founded in 1992 to marshal the resources of the legal community against breast cancer.
Dr. Moore, Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Medical College of Cornell University and Attending Physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, is a graduate of Smith College, where she was elected to the Society of Sigma Xi. She obtained her M.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons and did her residency and fellowship training in internal medicine, hematology, and oncology at The New York Hospital and The Rockefeller University.
Dr. Moore is active in research, teaching, patient care, and advocacy with a particular interest in the field of breast cancer. She is Chairman of the Breast Cancer Committee at New York Weill Cornell Medical Center of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and immediate past-President of the New York Metropolitan Breast Cancer Group, Inc. She has completed her term as a Director of the American Board of Internal Medicine. She was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society, in 1985, received the "Wholeness of Life" award from the HealthCare Chaplaincy in 1992, and was recently honored at Carnegie Hall by Artists for Breast Cancer Survival, Inc.
Also being honored by JALBCA is the firm of Proskauer Rose, LLP, which will receive the Leadership Achievement Award.
