Frequently Asked Questions
Construction will take place Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Clinical operations at the hospital will continue uninterrupted, and we are taking every measure to minimize disruption to our patients and their loved ones. Safety and exceptional care remain our top priorities.
Patients in active labor will continue to receive care in private delivery rooms.
We are dedicated to maintaining a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for all patients during this temporary construction period and beyond. Our team will continue to honor your preferences and provide the highest level of support throughout your stay.
- During each phase of the labor and delivery renovation, the construction team will be working on four labor rooms at a time.
- All work will be conducted behind secure barriers; you will not see construction equipment or materials in patient care areas.
- While you are in labor, you may have a support person and a doula (if applicable) with you.
- If there is an epidural requested, all non-patients must exit the room during the procedure for infection control and safety.
Our new Maternity Center will feature:
- 24 private postpartum rooms with en suite bathrooms and showers
- Fully renovated labor & delivery suites
- The latest technology and resources to support birthing persons and babies
- A new family lounge area for visitors

We expect to have our state-of-the-art labor and delivery unit completed by the end of this year. Postpartum rooms are expected to be ready by first half of 2026.
