Do You Have a Sleep Disorder?

Getting enough sleep should be a regular part of your routine. Lack of adequate sleep puts you at increased risk for obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, stroke, poor mental health, and even early death. How much sleep you need changes with age.

If you’re concerned you’re sleep deprived ask yourself these questions:

  • Are you tired when you wake up?
  • Are you excessively sleepy or do you lack energy in the daytime?
  • Do you have problem falling to sleep or staying asleep?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may need a sleep study. The sleep medicine experts at the Center for Sleep at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital can speak with you about your sleeping problems.

Our newly renovated sleep center ensures any patient coming for a sleep study is comfortable and in a private environment. Your results will be analyzed and interpreted by our board-certified sleep specialist and then sent to your referring physician. A personized treatment plan will be developed to help improve your sleep health.
