Born with an incredibly rare heart condition, Yasin's earliest days of life were fraught with concern. Fortunately his care team at the Children's Hospital of New York realized a completely new treatment was the way forward: implanting one of the first-ever heart valves that grow alongside their recipient inside him. Now Yasin is playing basketball, pursuing his love of drawing, and living life as a healthy pre-teen.
