1) How do I apply for a position at NYPBMH?

First time applicants should refer to the job search area and click on "log in now." You must then register with us by completing your profile information (Job Search > Log in now > Register > Complete Applicant Profile Information).

  • Tip: Please keep a record of your username, password, email address, security question and answer for future use.

If you are not a first-time applicant and already have an existing profile, log back in with your username and password.

2) Which web browser should I use to apply online?

For the optimal user experience please use Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, or Apple Safari to apply for a position at NYPBMH . Please make sure to disable all pop-up blockers by referring to the tools menu on the top of your browser. Scroll down to pop- up blocker and disable it. Make sure to refresh the page and continue the application process.

When you see a job posting in which you are interested, scroll down to the bottom of the job requirements page and click on "all other applicants click here to apply online." Log in with your username and password and follow the steps to complete the application.

3) Is an email address required to apply for a position at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital?

Yes. Email will be the primary means of communicating with you after you submit an application. If you do not have an email account, services such as Gmail, Yahoo and Hotmail are free options and available to all Internet users.

4) Can I apply for a position in person?

No. All applications must be submitted online.

5) I applied online and have not received feedback response. How do I know the status of my application?

The estimated time for a response is seven to ten business days. You may also check the status of your application at any time by logging in to your account and reviewing the " NYPBMH Application History" section.

6) Can I apply to more than one job opportunity at a time?

Yes, you may apply for multiple positions if you meet the requirements. However, it is not necessary to apply to all open positions in a specific field. For example, if you are applying for a staff nurse position, you are not required to apply for every specialty position (just for the ones in which you are interested).

7) How will I know when a job in which I would be interested becomes available?

A feature called the Job Agent will allow you to select numerous job titles/areas of your interest and will notify you at the email address you provided if any openings occur. To locate the Job Agent, you must log in with your username and password and click on the "job agent" tab located on top of the dashboard. After making your selections, scroll to the bottom and click "submit."

8) Can I fax, mail or email my resumé?

The best and most efficient way to apply for a position at NYPBMH is to complete an online application. It will then automatically be sent to the appropriate recruiter within the Human Resources Department. Email will be the primary means of communicating with you after an application has been submitted.

9) How do I know my online application was successfully submitted?
A notification regarding the application will be sent to your email address. Please remember to check your spam file if it doesn't appear in your inbox. Then log back in with their username and password and review your status.

10) I meet the requirements for the position listed. Why wasn't I called for an interview?
The Department of Human Resources receives a high volume of applications. We select the candidates whose qualifications are best suited for the position. We encourage you to continue to apply for multiple job opportunities if you meet the requirements. Please refer back to our job search application on NYPBMH.org as job postings are updated frequently.

11) If chosen for an interview, what should I bring?
If offered an interview all candidates should bring an updated copy of their resumé/CV and any other information that would assist the recruiter in evaluating competencies for the position of interest.

12) Is there a Hospital dress code?
