Digital Emergency and Urgent Care

Digital Emergency and Urgent Care

As part of a new pilot program, visitors to the Lisa Perry Emergency Center at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell can now choose to have a virtual visit. After an initial triage and medical screening exam, you will videoconference with a clinician in a private room. This process significantly reduces the time spent in the Emergency Department. NewYork-Presbyterian is the first health system in New York to offer this service.

NewYork-Presbyterian’s Digital Urgent Care service allows you to receive care when and where you need it. For illnesses or injuries that need rapid attention, use your mobile phone, tablet, or personal computer to video-conference with one of our doctors. They will assess the problem, and determine if it can be addressed without visiting a doctor in person. If you do not need to travel to the hospital or a doctor’s office, the physician will advise you on treatment, and can prescribe a prescription if necessary.
