Technical Assistance

As part of NewYork-Presbyterian’s Capacity Building strategy, we offer Technical Assistance (TA), an inclusive educational and resource-building opportunity. TA is open to all community-based organizations (CBOs), regardless of their size or focus, throughout New York City and Westchester County.

Technical Assistance is cost-free and offers a great way for CBOs to learn best practices, network, and share experiences with their colleagues. These activities can directly contribute to an organization's success and growth.

Our TA opportunities are not just planned for you; they are planned with you. We collaborate with our CBO partners in choosing topics, often inviting them to co-facilitate sessions and share their experiences. TA is offered periodically throughout the year, and we encourage you to sign up for our newsletter to stay informed about upcoming opportunities.

100+ Workshops and Webinars Hosted

500+ Community Members and Leaders Reached

We offer a range of Technical Assistance opportunities to meet the varied needs of our CBO partners:

Affinity groups are in-person events currently hosted in Queens, Brooklyn, and Northern Manhattan. They are available to anyone who identifies as a CBO leader, from project managers to executive directors. These sessions provide an opportunity for CBO leaders to come together and share best practices, insights, and learned experiences from their roles within their organizations around thematic topics. CBO partners are encouraged to serve as co-facilitators of these sessions.

Workshops are in-person events open to all members of CBOs and provide more focused, hands-on learning opportunities around specific topics. Workshops are currently held in Brooklyn, Queens, and Northern Manhattan but are open to all non-profit organizations across New York City and Westchester County.

Webinars provide relevant and impactful online information, with educational topics informed and guided by input from CBOs. Webinars require prior registration but are open to all CBOs across New York City and Westchester County.

Coaching sessions are conducted with our consulting partners, Plan A Advisors. Facilitated via Zoom, these sessions offer a one-on-one opportunity for CBO staff and board members to engage with a thought partner to discuss challenges, opportunities, or decisions facing your organization. Discussion topics include fundraising, grant applications, board or staff management, project planning, and more. Coaching sessions are available to all CBOs across New York City and Westchester County and can be scheduled here.

NewYork-Presbyterian’s Capacity Building Conference allows CBOs to learn, network, and collaborate in a one-day conference. This in-person event is typically hosted in the fall of each year and is available to all CBOs in New York City and Westchester County. The conference engages CBOs and community leaders to better understand local organizations' needs and provide information, tools, and resources needed to sustain and expand programming and operations.
