The Departments of Radiology at NewYork-Presbyterian provides diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, and radiation therapy services. Radiology is the use of radiation in medical diagnosis and therapy, which can include medical imaging, such as x-rays, computed tomography (CT) scans, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). In addition, radiation is used as a treatment in some conditions, such as the treatment of tumors.

At NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, the Departments of Radiology and Radiation Oncology provides the full spectrum of radiological services. It features the Morton A. Kreitchman PET Center, which provides high quality positron emission tomography (PET) services. The Department also boasts collaborative relationships with Columbia University's Department of Biomedical Engineering, the Cerebrovascular Center of the Neurological Institute, and the Magnetic Resonance Research Laboratories of Columbia University.

The Department of Radiology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center has a large faculty, many of which are internationally recognized leaders in their fields. Specialties in the Department include abdominal radiology, cardiovascular and interventional radiology, chest imaging, musculoskeletal radiology, neuroradiology, nuclear medicine, pediatric radiology, radiation oncology, and women's imaging.
