Palliative Care Education Fund
Palliative care is high quality, multidimensional care for patients who are seriously ill, and their families. Palliative care can be provided together with curative treatments (in appropriate situations). Our team believes in forming a partnership between patients, families, doctors and nurses, with the Patient being the center of care. Our goal is to help patients feel better by treating pain and distressing symptoms, and to improve quality of life for both patients AND families. Palliative care is provided by a team of doctors, nurses, social workers, and other specialists who work with a patient’s other doctors to provide an extra layer of support. We are grateful for gifts that help us enhance educational efforts at multiple fronts, including medical, nursing, interdisciplinary, and public education.
