About Our Program

At NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, we take a fully integrated approach to treating heart conditions in children. Your child will benefit from the multidisciplinary services of our experienced and compassionate pediatric heart care team.

Our board-certified pediatric cardiologists, echocardiographers, medical assistants, and nurses collaborate closely with the pediatric cardiology team at NewYork-Presbyterian Komansky Children’s Hospital at Weill Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan to provide your child with all the services they need to achieve excellent heart health.

At our hospital in Queens, your child can receive the most advanced noninvasive heart care and heart testing. Many noninvasive cardiology tests can be performed on the same day as your visit. Test results will be reviewed with you, and your cardiologists can answer questions during your visit. Sometimes, further testing will be provided (such as 24-hour Holter monitoring), or a return visit may be needed for additional tests (such as exercise testing). Following the visit, our physicians remain available to you by phone for discussion regarding final testing results and/or ongoing symptoms.

If your child needs any procedures, such as catheterization or heart surgery, they will be performed at NewYork-Presbyterian Komansky Children’s Hospital in Manhattan, home to some of the nation’s most accomplished pediatric interventional cardiologists, heart surgeons, and intensivists.

Our cardiology team participates in twice-weekly conferences with the NewYork-Presbyterian Komansky Children’s Hospital pediatric heart team. We can facilitate a referral to NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley ’Children’s Hospital at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in Northern Manhattan for children who need a heart transplant.
