Biography

Dr. Lusman is a pediatric gastroenterologist who treats children with all types of digestive problems. She earned her bachelor's degree from Brown University. She received her medical degree from Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed her residency and fellowship training at Columbia University Medical Center. She is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and an Attending Pediatrician at Columbia University Medical Center / Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian, and an Attending Physician at Stamford Hospital. She is board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology. Dr. Lusman serves as the Associate Director of the Pediatric Residency Program and the Director of the Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship Program. She oversees the residents’ scholarly work and is interested in learner assessment, the transition from generalist to specialist and the process of seeking and providing consultative care.

Her major clinical interests are in nutrition, food allergies and cystic fibrosis. She received additional training through the Developing Innovative GastroEnterologic Specialty Training (DIGEST) Program of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and actively participates in clinical and translational research in the Cystic Fibrosis Center at Columbia University.
