The Phyllis and David Komansky Center for Children’s Health of NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center Hosted its annual prom, featuring New York-themed festivities on Saturday, June 4th. Nearly 120 teenagers—in both inpatient and outpatient care—and their guests celebrated their triumphs and fulfilled their rite of passage of attending prom. Professional hair stylists, makeup artists and manicurists pampered the teens and provided a full salon treatment prior to the event. The ladies were dressed to impress in prom gowns courtesy of Century 21 Department Store, a NYC icon for more than 50 years. The gentlemen also were fitted for tuxedos provided by Men’s Wearhouse—the go-to destination for prom and formalwear expertise. All prom guests walked the red carpet and posed for prom photos upon entering their big city-inspired affair. The event also included dinner, dancing and surprise giveaways.
