NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is ranked No. 4 in the nation and No. 1 in New York, according to U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals rankings, published online today. This is the 20th consecutive year NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is the top-ranked hospital in New York.

The Hospital, one of the largest and most comprehensive healthcare delivery systems in the nation, was ranked in the top five nationwide in eight specialties: cardiology and heart surgery (No. 4), gynecology (No. 4), nephrology (No. 2), neurology/neurosurgery (No. 3), psychiatry (No. 4), urology (No. 5), diabetes/endocrinology (No. 5), and rheumatology (No. 4), a collaborative program with the Hospital for Special Surgery. NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital ranks in the top 10 in 11 specialties this year, and in the top 20 in 15 of the 16 specialties evaluated.

For the 2020-21 Best Hospitals rankings and ratings, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide in 16 specialties, 10 procedures and conditions. The specialty rankings assess hospital performance in high-complexity areas of inpatient care, from cancer to urology.

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital also ranks among the best in the nation for children’s care in the U.S. News Best Children’s Hospitals rankings. NewYork-Presbyterian provides pediatric care in every area of medicine at two major sites: NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital and NewYork-Presbyterian Komansky Children’s Hospital.
