NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital joined  the Village of Bronxville, the Bronxville Chamber of Commerce, and the Bronxville School to raise awareness about wellness and injury prevention at the inaugural Be Well Bash. Physicians and staff from NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital and ColumbiaDoctors Orthopedics and Sports Medicine provided expert tips about how to stay healthy and achieve fitness goals. It was an afternoon filled with fun activities, including the NFL PLAY 60 Skills and Drills Program and soccer drills led by the New York City Football Club’s Street Team. Participants also enjoyed injury prevention workshops, music, food, entertainment, face painting and more. Dr. Christopher Ahmad, who is the Chief of Sports Medicine and Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, as well as the Head Team Physician of the New York Yankees and New York City Football Club, was on-hand to talk with the public about the importance of injury prevention, especially in young athletes.
