Welcome to Komansky Children's Hospital

Welcome to NewYork-Presbyterian Komansky Children's Hospital at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, a full-service, multidisciplinary "children's hospital within a hospital." Established in 2005 through a generous grant from Phyllis and David Komansky, the Komansky Children's Hospital is among the nation's leading centers for pediatric care, medical education, and scientific research. Our physicians and staff are dedicated to providing the highest quality, most compassionate care to children and their families in a warm and welcoming environment.

Each year, thousands of children - infants through adolescents - from the nation and around the world come to the Komansky Children's Hospital for care. Our highly skilled physicians, all of whom are affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical College, have expertise in the full range of pediatric subspecialties, including respiratory conditions, cancer, and congenital heart disease, to name just a few. Our Pediatric Emergency Department is a Level 1 Trauma Center and a New York City regional burn center. Through our many inpatient and ambulatory services, and community programs, our physicians and staff focus on improving the health care and quality of life for children and their families.

We are very proud of the family- and patient-centered care we provide to each and every one of our young patients. When families are involved in their children's health care, the results are clear: better health outcomes and greater patient satisfaction. We recognize that families play an important role in the care of their child, and we encourage your active participation as a member of your child's healthcare team.

Our physicians and staff frequently take part in outreach initiatives and programs, including school health events, community health seminars and screenings, street fairs, and youth mentoring such as the Weill Cornell Youth Scholars program, and the Bridge to College Middle School Early College Awareness career camp.

I invite you to learn more about our comprehensive services and programs at Komansky Children's Hospital. Please feel free to contact me or any member of our staff with any questions you might have.
