Maurice R. Poplausky, MD

Maurice R. Poplausky, MD

Maurice R. Poplausky, MD, is chair of Diagnostic Imaging at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital. Dr. Poplausky is a board-certified radiologist with special competency in interventional radiology.

Dr. Poplausky attended The Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, a seven-year BS/MD program at City College of New York, and received his medical degree from SUNY Buffalo Medical School. He completed a year of internal medicine at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, NY, followed by a four-year residency in radiology at the Brooklyn-based Downstate Medical Center. Dr. Poplausky completed a fellowship training program specializing in Interventional Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Prior to joining NYP Hudson Valley Hospital in 2003, Dr. Poplausky was an Interventional Radiologist at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY for seven years.

Dr. Poplausky is author of the book, Imaging of the Acutely Ill and Surgical Patient, has published multiple journal articles and contributes to various textbooks. He has been nominated as one of Westchester’s “Top Doctors” for the past seven years.

Maddalena P. Duarte, MD DABR

Maddalena P. Duarte, MD DABR

Maddalena P. Duarte, MD DABR, is the Medical Director of Women’s Imaging at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital.

Dr. Duarte completed her undergraduate education at Dartmouth College. Following two years of molecular biology research at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, she pursued her medical doctorate at New York Medical College and subsequent residency in Diagnostic Radiology at New York Medical College - Westchester Medical Center. Board-certified by the American Board of Radiology, she pursued a fellowship in Breast and Body Imaging at Yale University Smilow Cancer Center.

Dr. Duarte was awarded the Radiology Society of North America Roentgen Award in 2012 for research in diagnostic radiology. Her specific area of interest is the utility of tomosynthesis (3D mammography) in the diagnosis of breast cancer and she has presented several times at American Roentgen Ray Society meetings. She is a member of the American Board of Radiology, Society of Breast Imaging, and American Roentgen Ray Society.

Elizabeth Elson, MD

Elizabeth Elson, MD

Elizabeth Elson, MD, is a board-certified radiologist with fellowship training in Interventional Radiology.

Dr. Elson graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a major in Biological Basis of Behavior and a minor in Fine Arts, and she received her medical degree from St. George’s University. She performed her internship at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, NJ, and she completed her radiology residency at Morristown Medical Center, NJ. She went on to complete her fellowship in Interventional Radiology at Montefiore Medical Center.

Prior to joining NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital in September 2017, Dr. Elson was an Interventional/Diagnostic Radiologist at Kennedy University Hospital, NJ for three years. Dr. Elson is an active member of the SIR (Society of Interventional Radiology).

Paul Kim, MD

Paul Kim, MD

Dr. Paul Kim is a board certified diagnostic radiologist who has additional fellowship training and board certification in neuroradiology.

After graduating from Williams College, Williamstown, MA, Dr. Kim received his medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. He completed residency training in Diagnostic Radiology at Saint Vincent’s Medical Center (Manhattan) - New York Medical College, where he served as a chief resident. He completed fellowship training in neuroradiology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia.

Dr. Kim is a senior member of American Society of Neuroradiology and a member of Radiologic Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society.

Daniel Solomon, MD

Daniel Solomon, MD

Daniel Solomon, MD, is an attending radiologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital.

Dr. Daniel Solomon graduated from Bangalore Medical College, India. He completed his post-graduate medical education in Frimley General Hospital, Frimley, Surrey, UK. He then completed a one-year internship in General Surgery at the College of Medicine and Dentistry, Newark , NJ, followed by a three-year residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Newark Beth Israel Hospital.

Dr. Solomon completed fellowship training in Interventional and Diagnostic Radiology at New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY, and began his career as an attending radiologist at NYP Hudson Valley Hospital.
