Gifts That Provide Income

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital's life income plans offer a variety of ways to supplement your income or provide income for family members and friends while receiving current income tax and estate tax benefits as well.

Charitable Gift Annuity

Charitable gift annuity plans are advantageous if you are 65 or older and you prefer the security of regular income throughout your lifetime. A charitable gift annuity is a simple agreement between you and NewYork-Presbyterian. For a current gift to the Hospital, the Hospital agrees to pay you and/or another person (usually a spouse) a regular fixed income for life. NewYork-Presbyterian offers two types of gift annuity plans: the immediate payment plan begins to distribute annuity payments to you and/or your designee on a regular basis starting immediately, and the deferred payment plan allows you to specify a future date for commencement of payments (principal grows tax-free like a retirement plan). Charitable Remainder Trust

A Charitable Remainder Trust (“CRT”) enables you to contribute to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital while providing an income for yourself and/or other beneficiaries for life, a term of years, or both. This individually managed trust may be tailored to suit your objectives: you may build a retirement account, generate a higher income from assets you currently own, or provide for your spouse, family members or other beneficiaries.
