Dalio Center’s Inaugural Conference on Race, Racism, and Health

Dalio Center for Health Justice Second Annual Conference: Focusing on Early Childhood to Achieve Equity: The First 1,000 Days

On October 24th, the Dalio Center held its second annual conference at the Brooklyn Museum with several speakers including Dr. Nadine Burke-Harris, Dr. James Heckman, Dr. Cynthia Osborne, and Dr. Dana Suskind. Over 300 people attended in-person.

One Decision for Us

National COVID-19 Vaccine Campaign

To help inform and empower our community, the Dalio Center partnered with the Harlem Children’s Zone and William Julius Wilson Institute to create a national vaccine awareness campaign. The ‘One Decision for Us’ vaccine campaign, includes a spoken word piece by artist Justice Davis and achieved over 110 million total impressions.

Community Celebrations in Brooklyn

Community Celebrations in Brooklyn

In August 2022, the Dalio Center hosted a community celebration, attended by over 700 community members. This celebration – called Community Conversations – acknowledged the importance of sharing our own stories. Together with CAMBA, Caribbean Women’s Health Association, YMCA, and Brooklyn Children’s Museum, we collected and uplifted local stories about motherhood during the pandemic.
