Year Round Screening Options
Manhattan Cancer Services Program
The Manhattan Cancer Services Program at New York Presbyterian/Columbia offers no-cost breast cancer, cervical cancer, and colorectal cancer screenings and diagnostic services for New York State residents 40 years of age and older for breast and cervical services and residents 50 years of age or older for colorectal cancer services who do not have medical health insurance and have not had a recent test for these kinds of cancer. For questions and appointments: 212-851-4516.
Lung Cancer Screening
Lung cancer screening aims to detect lung cancer in its earliest stages, before an individual experiences symptoms and when treatment is most effective. The National Lung Screening Trial demonstrated that annual screening with low-dose computed tomography (CT) can reduce lung cancer deaths in individuals at high risk for lung cancer by 20%, as opposed to chest x-ray screening. NewYork-Presbyterian's lung cancer screening programs offer state-of-the-art low-dose CT imaging interpreted by fellowship-trained experienced radiologists.
