Seminar: Managing Chemotherapy Side Effects
Myra Mahon Patient Resource Center, 1305 York Ave, New York, NY
2:30pm – 3:30pm
Are you undergoing chemotherapy? Do you know somebody else who is? Each chemotherapy is accompanied by potential side effects. Many side effects can be effectively managed. It is important to note that not all side effects may be experienced by each patient. Did you know that not every patient loses his or her hair, for instance? Two members of the NYP Nurse Navigator Team, Francine Raphael and Heather Bain, both of whom have worked in the oncology field for years, will tell us more about symptom management and what help is available to patients transitioning through the stages of treatment.
