The hospital redefining cancer care in Brooklyn totally redefined Martha’s battle with breast cancer. Our whole-body approach to cancer care takes into account the way this disease may affect patients and their families physically, mentally, and emotionally. With comprehensive care from screening and prevention through diagnosis, treatment and survivorship, we treat every type of cancer at all stages. We analyze patients’ cancer cells to determine the best targeted therapy and connect eligible patients to innovative clinical trials. Our genetic counselors can help patients and their families assess their cancer risk and treatment options. With our supportive services, our patients and their families also can access both compassionate mental health and nutritional counseling services to aide in healing. Working in conjunction with Weill Cornell Medicine, our academic medical partner, we provide personalized care closer to where you live and work. NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist is one of the few hospitals in Brooklyn accredited by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons.
