The Symfora Tapes
The Symfora Tapes is an instructional, seven-DVD set created in collaboration with some of the world’s leading clinicians specializing in the treatment of severe personality disorders: Salman Akhtar, MD, Arthur Freeman, EdD, Otto F. Kernberg, MD, Marsha Linehan, PhD, Lawrence Rockland, MD, Lorna Smith Benjamin, PhD, and Michael Stone, MD. Each clinician conducts an initial interview with “Alfred Koops,” a man with a severe personality disorder. The interviews demonstrate assessment approaches from different modalities: cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, transference-focused, dialectical behavioral, supportive, and integrated psychodynamic psychotherapy.
