Pediatric Critical Care Center is a multidisciplinary environment
providing state-of-the-art
care to children with life-threatening medical and surgical conditions.Ê
The PCCM is a 20-bed unit equipped and staffed to care for critically
ill infants, children, and adolescents.Ê A multidisciplinary team
comprised of doctors, a social worker, nurses and respiratory
therapists work together to provide comprehensive health care
services.Ê One full-time social worker is available to provide
psychosocial services to patients and their families.Ê The social
worker Amy Kates, CSW is available Monday through Friday from
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 212-746-3111.
