Neuroscience

The Neuroscience Service provides state-of-the-art patient care in a multidisciplinary environment offering a wide range of clinical programs. These include care for Alzheimer's Disease, Brain Tumors, Epilepsy, Movement Disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, Spinal Cord Injury, Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury, and general neurological disorders. Two full-time social workers provide psychosocial services to patients and families in the inpatient area. Social workers are available Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm. She is available Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm at (212) 746-3986.

The Comprehensive Epilepsy Center and Multiple Sclerosis Care Center each have a dedicated full time social worker who provides psychosocial services to patients and their families throughout the continuum of care. Luydmila Jovine, LCSW, works in the Comprehensive Epilepsy Center. She is available Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm at (212) 746-2471. Kristin Muzina LMSW, works in the Multiple Sclerosis Care Center. She is available Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm at (212) 746-4279.

The Memory Disorders Program has a part-time social worker who provides services such as psychosocial assessment, referral and liaison, health education, and counseling to patients and caregivers.
