Program Aims
Women At Risk maintains a computerized registry with comprehensive data on all patients enrolled in the High-Risk Program. The Registry allows medical professionals to analyze data about the high-risk population and facilitates both tracking and follow-up.
- The aims of the High-Risk Program are to:
- Identify and evaluate women at high risk for breast cancer.
- Establish protocols for monitoring women in the group.
- Encourage participation in research efforts directed at early diagnosis and prevention of breast cancer.
- Educate women in the program regarding self-examination, awareness of risk factors, and risk reduction strategies.
- Provide emotional and psychosocial support to women who are living with a high risk of breast cancer.
