Founder and Chairperson
Susan Fuirst
Susan Fuirst is the Founder and Chairperson of Women At Risk, founded in 1991, and a member of the Executive Committee. A two-time breast cancer survivor, Susan wanted to create a high-risk breast cancer program that would include educational and research opportunities. She has also served on the board of Brandeis National Women's Committee, Neuberger Museum of Art and Fenway Golf Club. She earned a BS in Education from a joint program with SUNY-New Paltz & NYU and a MS in Education from the College of New Rochelle.

Bonnie Pressman
Bonnie Pressman has been a Board member since 1996 and currently serves on the Executive Committee as the Women At Risk Board President. Bonnie is currently the Vice President of Accessories for Theory. During her tenure at WAR, she has served as the chairperson for Women At Risk’s Annual Luncheon and was honored in 2003 for her work in the breast cancer arena. A breast cancer survivor herself, she established "Beauty for Life" at Barneys New York in conjunction with Columbia University Medical Center, providing support through seminars and makeovers for patients undergoing treatment for breast and ovarian cancer. She has worked with a variety of other cancer organizations to help raise funds and awareness regarding this disease.
