Women's Mental Health

Anxiety, depression, and mood disorders are not uncommon among women, especially during the childbearing years. Eating disorders are also more common among women than men. NewYork-Presbyterian provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for women with mental health issues that includes the expertise of specialists in other areas, such as gynecology, endocrinology, and sexual function.

Lee Goldman, M.D., the Dean of the Faculties of Health Sciences and Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, discusses the "whole patient" approach to psychiatric care.
