Personality disorders comprise a range of mental health issues that include borderline personality disorder and may also be related to anxiety, eating disorders, and post-traumatic stress. Patients with personality disorders may experience changes in their mood and behavior that can affect their day-to-day activities.

NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia offers dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), medical treatment, and other approaches to manage personality disorders, tailoring the therapy to each individual. Inpatient and outpatient care are offered at a variety of locations, including special programs for children and adolescents, college students, and women.
