Rev. A. Meigs Ross
Rev. A. Meigs Ross

The Rev. A. Meigs Ross is an Episcopal priest and the Manager of Pastoral Care & Education at NYP/Weill Cornell. She is a board certified chaplain (Association of Professional Chaplains), a certified supervisor (Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc.), a licensed master of social work, (LMSW) and a licensed system-centered therapist (SCTRI). Rev. Ross has also served as the Director of Clinical Pastoral Education at HealthCare Chaplaincy and as Director of Pastoral Care & Education at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital in New York City and at Nyack Hospital, in Nyack NY. Rev. Ross received a Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary and an MSW from New York University. She has clinical expertise in behavioral health, crisis pastoral care and the care of families and staff members in transition. She is passionate about the ministry of pastoral care, clinical pastoral education and the integration of spirituality and religion in everyday life.

Sheikh Muhammad Ali
Sheikh Muhammad Ali

Sheikh Muhammad Ali is the Muslim chaplain at NYP/Weill Cornell. He was born in Bangladesh and obtained his Master's degree in Islamic theology there while concurrently completing a Master's in Social Science at Dhaka University. In NYC, he completed a third Master's in International Relations from CUNY. He completed his CPE at NewYork Presbyterian and HealthCare Chaplaincy. He has been the Muslim Chaplain at Weill Cornell since 2009 where he leads the weekly Juma's (Friday) prayer. Ali speaks several languages, including Bengali, Urdu, Hindi and Arabic.

Rev. Deacon R. Anne Auchincloss
Rev. Deacon R. Anne Auchincloss

The Rev. Deacon R. Anne Auchincloss was ordained to the Episcopal diaconate in 2002 and is a per diem chaplain at NYP/Weill Cornell. She earned five CPE Units as an intern at Cabrini Hospital followed by a residency at the VA Hospital, both in New York City. She served at St. Vincent's Hospital until it closed in 2010 and then volunteered positions at Mount Sinai and New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell as a chaplain. Chaplain Auchincloss officiates at an Interdenominational Prayer Service at Payne Whitney, where she has been leading the service for the past 3 years.

Karen Berdecia
Karen Berdecia

Karen Berdecia, Administrative Assistant at NYP/Weill Cornell, joined the Department of Pastoral Care & Education in August 2003. She provides administrative support to the chaplaincy team as well as maintaining the efficiency of the office. Karen handles patients' and staffs' requests for chaplains and assists the chaplains in letting the hospital know of the department's services. Karen also serves as the CPE Co-Registrar as she processes all CPE applications, sets-up interviews and works closely with the CPE Supervisors.

Rabbi Mollie Cantor
Rabbi Mollie Cantor

Rabbi Mollie Cantor is a Reformed Rabbi and was ordained at the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. She is the pediatric chaplain and CPE supervisory candidate for NYP/Weill Cornell and is a board certified chaplain (NAJC). Prior to coming to NYP she served as the pediatric chaplain at the Kravis Children's Hospital at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where she was a member of the pediatric palliative care team, providing spiritual care to patients and families of all religious and cultural backgrounds. Rabbi Cantor completed her chaplaincy training at the Healthcare Chaplaincy in New York.

Rev. Dr. Julia Craig-Horne
Rev. Dr. Julia Craig-Horne

The Rev. Dr. Julia Craig-Horne is presently a staff chaplain, and a Pentecostal Minister ordained by the Universal Temple Churches of God. Rev. Julia earned her Masters of Divinity, and Doctorate of Ministry at Amridge University, Montgomery, Alabama in 2008. She teaches and ministers in church, and academic settings. Her interests include traveling, expository preaching, and the transformational power of storytelling. She is responsible for all aspects of pastoral/spiritual care to patients, families, and staff.

Rabbi Daniel Epstein
Rabbi Daniel Epstein

Rabbi Daniel Epstein is a Conservative Rabbi and the coordinator of Jewish Chaplaincy at NYP/Weill Cornell. He is a board certified chaplain (National Association of Jewish Chaplains) and did his Bachelor of Arts. at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Rabbi Epstein attended the Jewish Theological Seminary, where he was ordained. He also did graduate work in psychology at JTS. Prior to coming to NYP/Weill Cornell in 2008, he served for twenty years on college campuses and as a congregational rabbi.

Rev. Cheryl Fox
Rev. Cheryl Fox

The Rev. Cheryl Fox is an Episcopal Priest and a board certified chaplain (Association of Professional Chaplains). She is a staff chaplain at NYP/Weill Cornell, and specializes in Oncology and also supervises the volunteers there, having developed a training program for spiritual care volunteers. She has been at NYP for four years, first as a resident and then as a professional chaplain. She is the Priest-In-Charge of a parish in Brooklyn, NY. She earned her Masters in Divinity from the General Seminary of the Episcopal Church in New York City.

Chaplain Rebecca Narva
Chaplain Rebecca Narva

Chaplain Rebecca Narva has been at NYP/Weill Cornell, as Intern, Resident Chaplain, and Per Diem Staff Chaplain. Her CPE training is from The New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care, NYP Department of Pastoral Care & Education and HealthCare Chaplaincy. Rebecca's spiritual practice is meditation in the Zen Buddhist Tradition. As chaplain, she provides training to staff and patients in mindfulness, meditation, breathing and stress reduction. Rebecca is also a licensed certified instructor of Nia, an expressive fitness techniques based on the joy of movement.

Rev. James R. O'Connell, OFM
Rev. James R. O'Connell, OFM

The Rev. James R. O'Connell, OFM, is a Roman Catholic priest at NYP/Weill Cornell. He is a member of the Order of Friars Minor (Franciscan Friars of Holy Name Province). He received his Master of Divinity from Washington Theological Union in Washington, DC, and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from New York University. He has served as Pastor, University Chaplain and for the past eighteen years as chaplain in health care ministry at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA, Cabrini Hospital, NYC, and for fourteen years at St. Vincent's Hospital in NYC. Father James has been at NYP/Weill Cornell since 2012.
