The first step to becoming a patient at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is to contact our International Services Office. Our Coordinators are fluent in many languages and can discuss all aspects of your care. Our Coordinators can be most helpful if they know you and your needs. When contacting us, please complete and send the Patient Profile Form by e-mail or fax.
Submitting Medical Records
To expedite your request, medical records must be sent to International Services. Please make sure that your records are complete, in English, and include all relevant scans, x-rays and test results. Please speak with a Coordinator before sending medical records.
Insurance & Payment Information
Before becoming a patient, you will also need to speak with one of our Financial Counselors. They can help you with the financial requirements associated with your Hospital stay as well as your physicians, including contacting international health insurance carriers when required.
Visas & Passports
Some patients, depending on their home country, will need to obtain a visa to enter the United States for medical treatment. Our Coordinators can assist with this process should you decide to seek care at NewYork-Presbyterian.
