The Salud a Su Alcance Pharmacy Assistance Program (SASA-PAP)
The Salud a Su Alcance Pharmacy Assistance Program (SASA-PAP) helps medically indigent patients obtain affordable prescription medications and other items required for treatment and the maintenance of life. Program effectiveness is evaluated by monitoring health status, cost savings, and treatment regimen compliance rate.
The Program is run by NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital's Ambulatory Care Network, and is part of a larger project known as Salud a Su Alcance (SASA).
SASA-PAP was launched in August 2002 with funding from Health Resource Services and Administration (HRSA) under the Community Access Program Initiative and is currently supported by funds from the New York Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
