Speech-Language Pathology

Speech-Language Pathologists concentrate on communication and swallowing disorders. These disorders may be the result of neurological impairment, developmental conditions, injury or surgery.

Evaluation and treatment of communication problems may focus on speech production, voice, auditory comprehension, word finding and verbal expression. In addition, other skills such as reading, writing, attention, memory, problem solving, thinking and learning are addressed.

Speech-Language Pathologists hold a Masters Degree and are nationally certified through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
