Welcome to Nursing at New York-Presbyterian Hospital where experience
and learning opportunities are endless. With five facilities at four
distinct geographic locations throughout the New York metropolitan
area, we are one hospital offering every clinical specialty from primary
care to cutting-edge quaternary careits all here for you.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy of nursing is derived from the values of our profession,
as well as the mission and vision of New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
Central to that philosophy is the creation of a learning environment
for you and our patients. We are committed to the highest quality
and service, with sensitivity to patients who come from our communities
and those who travel from afar to seek the best in health care.
Our Programs
New York City and its surrounding areas have numerous nursing programs
offering undergraduate and graduate degrees in nursing. Our own New
York-Presbyterian Schools of Continuing Education for Nurses are accredited
providers of classroom learning and are working to become e-learning
providers as well. Together with nursing education, our patient/family
education programs also continue to grow, including an online catalogue
of materials and recommended web sites, which offer condition-specific
information and teaching tools available for staff and patient use.
Our Commitment to You
We realize that at different points in our personal and professional
lives, our needs change. That is why all of our centers offer full-time,
part-time, and per diem job opportunities. And of course, as you grow
and develop new interests within the field of nursing, we also encourage
the exploration of numerous career paths and areas of clinical study.
At New York-Presbyterian Hospital, we are constantly reevaluating
our work environment to ensure that once you choose to work here,
you will choose to stay.
We invite you to continue your visit online and then plan a visit
in person. On behalf of our nursing staff, we welcome and look forward
to meeting you.
