The nursing staff provided quality care and we soon felt like extended family. The staff provided not only the physical care required but the emotional kindness and support our family so desperately needed. My husband received unparalleled care, which is a credit not only to New York Weill Cornell but, more importantly, to the individual staff members. The staff enabled my husband to have a courageous death with dignity, while his family was in attendance every minute. I will be eternally grateful to all those who touched our lives. The marvelous nurses worked tirelessly, always smiled, wasted no motions, tended to those in their care gently but firmly and were always impressive with their knowledge. I had telephone numbers to call 24 hours a day to get information and ease anxieties... ...I and my family wish to thank all of you that attended to my needs while recuperating from the transplant surgery. Nurse B reminded me of those special, rare individuals who enjoy excelling, while everyone benefits from their positive attitudes and fine work... ...Nurses were informative, kind and patient in answering my questions. I remember M in the Intensive Care Unit as a cheerful, kind and considerate nurse. M was attentive and caring throughout the night, and I was deeply impressed by the lengths to which she went to make me as comfortable as possible. She is truly an angel in disguise and expresses tender loving care in all her actions. I have only praise for all the nurses and attendants who looked after me. They all went out of their way to ensure my comfort and to answer my questions, and I am deeply grateful for their care... ...Marilyn received medical care consistent with the outstanding reputation of NY Presbyterian. It was evident to us throughout this critical period that the consistent collaboration of Marilyn's nurses and caregivers was a well-practiced cornerstone of their process. Their professionalism gave us hope and reinforced our faith for a good outcome during this potentially devastating time for our family. We are so grateful to the many healthcare professionals who cared for and contributed to Marilyn's recovery, which has been nothing short of miraculous.
