Westchester Division
Behavioral Health Nursing NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital
is focused on providing a comprehensive range of health care solutions,
and the Westchester Division is a major component of the hospital's
Department of Psychiatry. When you join our outstanding nursing
staff, you'll learn from a variety of challenges. You'll have opportunities
to be involved with research projects and be called upon to provide
nursing care that goes beyond the behavioral health spectrum, enriching
your experience. Your continuing education is as important to us
as it is to you. As a result, we encourage our nurses to explore
and follow new interests. The Westchester Division has a long history
of groundbreaking work in the field, and our contributions have
helped shape treatment methodologies for a broad range of behavioral
health disorders. The collegial atmosphere allows us to work as
a team to provide compassionate care to our patients, and to interact
with nurses throughout the hospital system. We are fully equipped
to handle any behavioral health issues, from crisis to continuing
treatment and for every age, from children to the elderly. Nurses
work in the following four specialty areas: clinical, administrative,
health education and research. The hospital is located on 214 acres
in suburban Westchester County, New York. We have over 230 inpatient
beds, numerous intermediate care programs, and extensive outpatient
services. Our picturesque campus has been the home for psychiatric
care, research and training since 1894, and is comprised of many
historic buildings and houses, along with beautiful gardens and
wooded areas. We also have an employee fitness center, golf course,
and an outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts. The Westchester
