The Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center recently received a $750,000 grant from the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade. Representatives from the Center were recognized at the 14th Annual AVON 39 New York Walk in October.

Home of the Avon Center of Excellence, the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center is one of the top comprehensive cancer centers in the country, renowned for its state-of-the-art care and research across the spectrum of cancers. The Avon grant will fund the Center’s patient navigation program, which offers multilingual, culturally sensitive services to patients seeking care. The grant will also support research projects aiming to reduce the incidence of breast cancer and improve patient outcomes, particularly among minority and underserved women.
