Dr. Steven Stylianos Receives NYS Division of the American Trauma Society’s "Distinction Award"

The New York State Division of the American Trauma Society awarded Dr. Steven Stylianos with the “Trauma Physician of Distinction Award,” for his contribution to trauma care excellence in 2016.  Dr. Stylianos, Chief of Pediatric Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital  was nominated by his peers around the New York State Trauma Community in recognition for his dedication to improving trauma care and the trauma system throughout New York State.  Dr. Stylianos joins a list of trauma care providers in our state who tirelessly dedicate themselves to constantly improving trauma care and saving lives. 

The New York State Division of the American Trauma Society is a member of the National American Trauma Society.  The non-profit organization works with local communities around the country focusing on Injury Prevention, Public Education and Awareness as it relates to trauma. The ATS has an ongoing partnership with Trauma Centers to provide various aspects  professional education in trauma care.   The New York State Division has one of the largest membership in the country.
