Other Conditions
Surgeons in the MASC also apply laparoscopic methods to conditions
of the lower GI tract, including benign colon disease, diverticulitis,
appendicitis, and inflammatory bowel disease. Additionally,
colon cancer may be best treated with a laparoscopic resection.
Surgeons can now also routinely treat conditions of the spleen,
adrenal gland, and pancreas with laparoscopic techniques.
