Hernia
Laparoscopy can be used to repair hernias of the groin, and allow the patient to resume his/her normal life in the shortest possible time (usually less than a week). Additionally, hernias of the anterior abdominal wall, often occurring in scars from previous surgery can be repaired laparoscopically. These laparoscopic repairs lead to a quicker recovery with fewer initial complications.
