Endometriosis
Unfortunately, this is a common condition that has a profound
and debilitating effect on a significant number of women.
In most cases, it causes substantial pelvic pain that drastically
reduces quality of life. It often may result in infertility.
Endometriosis occurs when the tissue that lines the uterus
is found on other organs, such as the ovaries, bladder, vagina
or bowel. Treatment can be medical or surgical, but when the
condition consistently recurs, expert surgical management
is mandatory.
